Psychotherapist
Licenses: New York, New Jersey
Languages: English, Russian
Education:
My fascination with human behavior began in high school as I was navigating the complexities of teenage life as a recent immigrant. My high school offered a variety of psychology courses and I took every single one. Only a few years ago did I bring myself to finally part with a giant stack of legal size printouts of articles from those classes–a symbol of my passion that I now practice as my career.
I offer an eclectic approach that incorporates a variety of therapeutic practices without confining you to a rigid limiting structure. My manner is direct and nurturing. I will support you and hold you accountable at the same time.
I am a cisgender, straight, married, Jewish mother of two. I am an LGBTQ+ ally. I am fully bilingual and bicultural. While I received my license over a decade ago, I began my career in the nonprofit world. I have held leadership positions in large local, national, and international organizations. My experience makes me more aware and better able to help my clients manage workplace situations and conflicts. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults helping them adjust to and navigate “adulting.” I can help you set meaningful goals for yourself and your family, improve your relationships with loved ones, make communication more fulfilling, and increase your sense of meaning, purpose, and joy in everyday life.
