My passion for helping people is rooted in over two decades of working in healthcare. This experience has granted me the unique privilege of interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds, enriching my understanding of human nature and deepening my commitment to serving those in need.
Born in the former Soviet Union, I immigrated to the United States as a teenager. This transition brought about feelings of vulnerability, isolation, and significant challenges in adapting to a new life. However, with the unwavering support and guidance of loved ones and mentors, I gradually built a productive and fulfilling life, one step at a time.

It’s never too late to pursue new dreams, discover new passions, or embark on a different career path. Embracing risks and maintaining an open mind can reveal exciting opportunities. Years after earning my bachelor’s degree and working in the medical field, my own journey brought me back to graduate school, where I sought further education to be able to help those facing emotional, psychological, and mental health challenges.
My love for music and dance serendipitously led me to discover Argentine tango. As I immersed myself in this mesmerizing dance, I noticed intriguing parallels between tango and therapy. Both require connection and trust, presence and mindfulness, and a blend of verbal and non-verbal communication. They also demand balance and flexibility, promote growth and learning, and involve vulnerability and intimacy. Moreover, both tango and therapy provide avenues for creativity and expression, helping individuals connect emotionally with themselves and others.
In therapy, as in life, my approach is eclectic yet fundamentally person-centered, stemming from genuineness, unconditional positive regard, and empathy. Building trusting relationships with each patient helps navigate their unique challenges. This trust fosters a sense of security in the therapeutic process, empowering patients to confront and overcome their difficulties, discover their strengths, and achieve their goals. And I’m here to support and guide them every step of the way.
